Dr Yasmin Karsan specialises in Digital Clinical Safety. Her background includes a Master's degree in Pharmacy, an independent prescribing degree, a Ph.D. in Health Systems, and a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI), providing her with a diverse skill set perfectly suited for the evolving healthcare landscape and congruent regulations and compliance requirements.
As a pharmacist, Dr. Karsan has gained hands-on experience in patient care and medication management, underscoring her deep commitment to patient safety. Her Ph.D. research delved into the intersection of healthcare delivery, technology, and patient outcomes, while her Master's in Artificial Intelligence highlighted the transformative potential of AI in healthcare.
In her role as a Digital Clinical Safety Officer, Dr. Karsan is steadfast in her mission to ensure digital healthcare solutions meet stringent safety and quality standards. She diligently assesses and mitigates risks associated with healthcare technology, placing patient well-being at the forefront, alongside working with others to complete compliance documentation and technical files ready for conformity assessments.
Dr. Karsan’s collaborative prowess and leadership skills enable her to foster partnerships between healthcare providers, technology developers, and regulatory bodies.
